We still have a few days to go before the school doors open for business and my list of “things to do” continues to grow. High on the list is investing in a few quality reusables for school lunches. We have quite a few, but after years of wear and tear (think lots of crushed carrots and blueberries) there are a few that are ready to be replaced. If your are in the same boat then this GIVEAWAY could help you out.

Full Disclosure: I received a free sample of the Kids Konserve lunch sack. All opinions in this review are my very own.
We use some of the Kids Konserve containers. The round stainless ones are great for applesauce and yogurt. They’re easy for kids to open and close, so that means less mess!
Last year, my son did a presentation on Waste Free Lunch at his school and showed reusable containers are better for the planet and how you can save money by not buying all the individual pre-packaged stuff (which is usually not all that healthy – right?)
I have an 11 year old with autism and it has been difficult to find eco friendly products for her to use. She reacts to most processed foods, artificial colors and flavors and manufactured products including the plastics in many containers. This would be4 a great product to use for her lunches.
We use re-usable baggies instead of plastic, as well as regular forks/spoons. Lunch goes in a stainless steel container.
Great giveaway Lori! I’d love to win one!
Great giveaway! For eco-friendly lunches, we reuse the same fabric lunch “box” and food containers year after year.

Always looking for new ways to make school lunches eco friendly and recycling easier! Thanks to Groovy Green Livin for giving me awesome ideas 🙂
I don’t buy the prepackaged snacks. Too much waste, and it is cheaper to bag up snacks myself.
Joe has used his lunch bag that he made in first grade :). We also put our lunches in the empty bread bags and reuse other sacks as much as possible. Nothing grand, but little things make the world go round.
I shared the giveaway on Facebook!
I was a big zip lock bag Mama and then I realized how many bags I used in the school year and was shocked! I bought little containers to have John bring in his snacks and lunch and they actually come back home! I think it’s very important to start being “green” at a young age.
How we make our lunches eco friendly? No meat! Reduce, reuse, recycle. I’d love to composting at the schools, though!
I send reusable containers in my daughter’s lunch box. I have also been buying fewer of the individual pre-packaged snacks.

We use reusable containers.
My son is looking forward to bringing tomato soup to school in his new stainless steel container (from reusit)!
When my kids bring their lunch to school they use reusuable lunch boxes, and Tupperware/Rubbermaid to hold all the different parts of their lunch. And when I put in a plastic spoon for yogurt/fruit/etc. I remind them NOT to throw it away so we can wash and reuse!
I make lunches eco friendly by using recycled lunch bags!
I use the reusable bag n sometimes I even send lunch from homemade– great gift, hope I’m the lucky one :))
I use old fashioned waxed paper to wrap sandwiches, dry snacks, and cut veggies. A twist of the ends holds it all together, and spread out it makes a clean eating surface. Plus, it degrades very quickly.
i reuse baby food glass jars to put snacks (nuts, cereal, dried fruit) in DDs lunch. ..and salad dressings so the broc. gets eaten;) also use stainless steel bento boxes for said broc and sandwich!
We always include a fruit and veggie and a whole wheat sandwich, every single day! We also use our eco-friendly containers and pack only water! Great contest Lori! Love KK!!!

I make waste-less lunches and use organic foods. My little one doesn’t go to school yet, but my husband and I make our lunches for work…eco-friendly! I like the bag!
Lunch items are packed in reusable plastic containers and carried in resuable lunch bag. That goes for the kids school lunch and for the excursions I (the grandmother) take the kids on.
I reuse the bags whenever possible for my daughters lunches

I reuse the small margarine & yogurt containers with lids and use them in lunches. They are “free”, can be used several times there are no worries if they get lost, although my kids are good about bringing them home for recycling.
I have small containers for lunch food, plastic yes, but I have reused them many, many times.

We have always used cotton lunch sacks, which we wash in the washing machine at the end of the week and hang out to dry on our clothesline.
If I win I would give this to my daughter who does the following for her kids:
uses a lunchbox with reusable containers instead of baggies along with buying organic fruits and vegetables and uses stainless steel water bottles.
My kids take both a reusable lunch bag and water bottle to school.
