It’s Wednesday and all over the internet you will find photos with no words of explanation. Why? Because pictures say a thousand words and today is Wordless Wednesday.
I have a friend with a bike. A really cool bike. He is a true greenie. He uses his bike for much more then just transportation. Can you see what he’s transporting here?
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, a car driving an average of 12,500 miles per year will expend 11,450 pounds of carbon dioxide. If you ride your bike to work one day each week instead of driving you could reduce your to global warming impact by 20% each year. Just think what an impact we could have if each one of us committed to riding a bike -clean air and less pollution all around.
Look what else can be transported via bicycle.
Here we have his trusty bike that can clearly do anything delivering another bicycle to it’s new owner. I think this is the ‘Superman’ of bikes.
Do you ride your bicycle? To work? For pleasure?
Thank you to my friend Joel for sharing some of the amazing things he can transport with his bicycle.

What an awesome bike! I was thinking that the plants in the first picture could just be carried around all of the time as a nice accessory.
I can’t wait to get back to the states and buy a bike and ride it everywhere! It’s a good workout and it’s good for the environment. Why not?
I’m inspired. I now work only one mile (yes, just 1 mile) from my job. I purchased a bike but nearly withered in the heat of July as I rode to work. I’m waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before I walk or ride again, but this post has inspired me to keep it up.
Hi Meg, You can’t ride a bike where you are? I forgot which country your visiting right now!
Hi Alaiyo, I used to ride to work too. It was so hard on those hot and humid days to make it in. I agree, once it cools down it’s much more bearable. Keep it up!
Hi Marsha, I agree-Joel’s bike is amazing. Maybe I’ll suggest that he ride around with the plants just to ‘look pretty’ 🙂
Wow, definitely the Biking Superman! I cycle to pick up my weekly CSA share… it would otherwise be a few minutes in the car, and I really don’t like driving for such short trips because it’s clearly unnecessary!
Hi Andrea! You need to send me some photos of your bike with your CSA. Where do you put it? Baskets? You could be Biking Superwoman!
Wow! That really is a superman bike LOL! Thanks for sharing these inspirational photos and I LOVE the one with the plants in the front – that’s beautiful 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Mrs. Green! It is a pretty awesome bike-used for so many different things.
Using bike other than transportation is genius! In my family, we teach kids to learn how to bike at an early age. We also teach them the ecological importance of biking. Hopefully, this lesson will be sustained until the next generations. Cheers!
Yes, you are absolutely right..
This is the high time to do something better. I like biking and I’m using bicycle as my daily commuter.
