One of my passions is promoting groovy, green businesses who are doing their part to make the world a better place. When I was contacted by GROOVY GLOBE I knew they were a company I wanted to work with. For starters, the name rocks! Anything with “groovy” in the title has an automatic in with Groovy Green Livin.
Candace Vadnais, founder of GROOVY GLOBE
Founded in 2011 by public relations executive, Candace Vadnais, GROOVY GLOBE was created from her obsession with recycling and the passion to want to do something that would have a greater impact in helping the environment. With a 15-year career promoting businesses and consumer products, Candace decided to combine her PR and marketing experience and passion for environmental causes by creating a brand that would to help spread the word and empower people to also want to do more.
An advocate of supporting such causes like (RED) by buying and wearing their t-shirts, she was inspired to create an eco-conscious branded apparel line that would help raise greater consumer awareness and funds for environmental non-profit organizations that are helping the environment and protecting the planet’s natural resources. Candace also does her part at home by conserving energy and using energy-efficient products. Helping the environment is really important to her, but she wanted to do more than what she was doing at home.
The company offers a line of branded apparel created to raise funds for environmental organizations and increase awareness about sustainability. The brand includes 100 percent organic T-shirts for men and women, wristbands and tote bags made from recycled cotton. For each product sold, 10 percent of the retail price is donated to two of Vadnais’ favorite charities, Trees for the Future and Global Green USA.
GROOVY GLOBE men’s and women’s t-shirts are eco-friendly. Their t-shirts are Anvil Organic® Pre-shrunk 100% certified organic cotton. Both men’s and women’s t-shirts are available in black and white. Women’s t-shirts are also available in both classic and fitted styles. I was sent an organic, fitted black women’s t-shirt and it’s adorable.
