GROOVY GLOBE stands by the belief that an image speaks a thousand words.
Founded in 2012 by public relations executive, Candace Vadnais, GROOVY GLOBE was created from her obsession with recycling and the passion to do something that would help the environment.
With a 15-year career promoting businesses and consumer products, Candace decided to combine her PR and marketing experience and passion for environmental causes by creating a brand that would to help spread the word and empower people to also want to do more.
She created a line of branded apparel to raise funds for environmental organizations and increase awareness about sustainability. The brand includes 100 percent organic T-shirts for men and women, wristbands and tote bags made from recycled cotton. GROOVY GLOBE donates 10% of its sales from each product sold to non-profit environmental organizations that are dedicated to helping protect our planet.
The company kicked off with classic GROOVY GLOBE t-shirts that I’ve shared with you before. Now they’ve launched a new line of statement t-shirts.
Here’s why Candace expanded GROOVY GLOBE to include these new statement t-shirts:
When I launched Groovy Globe my intention was to expand the line at some point, but I didn’t want just another branded t-shirt design, I wanted a t-shirt that would send a message. Essentially I wanted t-shirt that would make a statement – something that people would notice and think about the planet and our environment. I knew I didn’t want to use the typical words like recycle, reuse, etc. as those words have been around for so long and we see them everywhere. I wanted words that are fresh and new in the green space – something that was different but easily identifiable with the environment. I knew I wanted one word for each shirt – to me one word makes a really strong statement. So I chose the words Renew, Protect and Sustain – words that express action and will resonate with the eco-conscious movement.
Candace sent me a Renew t-shirt to try out and I love it. Great fit, comfy and it’s a rockin gray color. Wearing it with jeans is the perfect combination.
The t-shirt is made from Anvil Sustainable™ Pre-shrunk 50% ring spun organic cotton and 50% post-consumer P.E.T. recycled polyester. I have to admit that I generally look for 100% cotton t-shirts, but this t-shirt is incredibly soft. The sizes tend to run a bit small, but there wasn’t much shrinkage after washing. Brace yourself -these t-shirts are a bit pricey at $28 a pop. but the message you’re sharing is priceless.
Disclosure: Thank you to GROOVY GLOBE for a complimentary T-shirt which I happen to be wearing right now. I didn’t receive any compensation for this review. The opinions expressed in this post are my very own.
