Photo: Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

Groovy Green Livin Photo

A photo really does speak a thousand words.

It’s hard to believe 12 years have gone by. The memories are hard to shake. Memories of where I was, what I was doing, and who I was with. Memories of all those lost and those who experienced heartbreak. Just like it was yesterday.

We all remember.

Our hearts broke and continue to break. Thinking of all those who were needlessly lost.

But one question continues to mind over and over: “Why can’t we all just get along?”

This morning I paused to look at this photo sent over by friends. Chickens and a dog. Different yet the same.

As my youngest reminded me- people are all different. My wish for all: To live in peace with others despite differences

Take time to remember. Take time to hug those in your life a little tighter.

How are you taking time to remember?

It’s no-so Wordless Wednesday so this is a simple post which features a photo to convey a message that speaks for itself without using many words.

In honor of  not-so Wordless Wednesday I’ve linked up with Better in Bulk, Dagmar’s Momsense, Live and Love Out Loud,  and Mama Dweeb.

Yes, I remember this day well and I will always remember it because I was down there in the Wall Street area at a meeting when it happened. It is still hard to believe the events of the day and how we mananged to get home safely. Memories of those who lost their lives that day will be with us forever. This day reminds me to cherish the moments, respect and love others–because we just don’t know what can happen each day.

Watching the footage is heartbreaking, and still brings tears to my eyes years later. I was in college, working in the darkroom. All we could do was listen to NPR and pray. It’s a bittersweet day too though, because Sept 11th is also my brothers birthday. So we always try to look on the bright side 😉 There is good out there.

I am so loving the photo you picked for this day. The bright colors, the dog and the hens -beauty and growth and life. Thank you.
