According to a recent Gallup Poll, 70% of us have used a reusable bag at least once in the last year. Reusable bags are no longer a trend, they are everywhere. I finally figured out a system for remembering to take them with me. I leave the larger grocery style bags on the passenger seat in my car. I also carry smaller bags in my purse so they are always with me.
When SnapSac TM offered to send me a few of their bags to check out, I was excited to see what they were all about. The timing was right. My reusable bag supply had dwindled down to nothing and I was in the market for a few more to add to my front seat. The bags came folded up in neat little rectangles with a snap holding them together. They have stylish patterns and are reasonably priced (from $1.99-$9.99).
Lisa Foster, founder of SnapSac TM says “We give consumers more in a bag. It’s fashion, quality and responsibility-all for about the price of a latte.” Lisa is the founder of 1 Bag at a Time, the parent company of SnapSac TM , one of the first reusable bag companies sin the US.
The bags themselves are sturdy, made from a thick fabric. The Grocery Tote was a decent size. It felt a bit taller and narrower than the average reusable bag, but I was able to pack it full of groceries. I will probably use the Super Tote for groceries too. It is quite large and could hold a lot of items. The SnapSac Mega Totewill be my go-to beach bag this summer. It will be joined at the beach by the Cool Tote and the Lunch Tote which are both insulated cooler bags.
Each bag has a small pocket inside that snaps closed. I don’t think I would use it for anything valuable since it could easily fall out on either side of the snap.
Overall the bags are durable, stylish and get a groovy green thumbs up.
