The Red Sox have been a part of my life since I moved to Boston many years ago. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement. I’ve been fortunate to experience three World Series wins. The minute my youngest son was born the nurses placed a Red Sox hat on his itty bitty head.
When you live in Boston being a Red Sox fan comes with the territory. Unless of course you’re a Yankees fan.
My Red Sox love began well before we had kids and has evolved over the years into a pretty amazing family bonding experience. We go to games together, watch games together and can all talk the Red Sox talk.
I’m a Red Sox Mom
I’m not sure who was more excited when I was invited to be a part of the inaugural Boston Red Sox Moms Club, me, my husband or my kids.
Getting in invite like this is pretty amazing:
On behalf of the Boston Red Sox organization, we invite you to join the #RedSoxFamily as part of the inaugural Red Sox Moms Club.
How cool is that?!
This is the first time any Major League Baseball team has created a blogger network like this. I’m extremely honored and excited to be joining some of my favorite local bloggers in this club.
My duties will include bringing you all sorts of goodies surrounding the Red Sox including event information and other activities happening within the Boston Red Sox organization. Maybe I can sneak in a few ‘green’ requests!
FenwaYoga Event at Fenway Park
The first event was pretty spectacular. I joined a few local bloggers for a preview of FenwayYoga.
For the second year in a row, the Red Sox Foundation will hold yoga sessions at Fenway Park on Sunday, June 8. “FenwaYoga” will raise funds for two of the foundation’s cornerstone programs, the Red Sox Scholars Program and the RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Programs.
Nothing like looking up at the Budweiser sign in side plank!
It was a little windy and chilly, but Alyssa helped us warm up very quickly!
We also had a chance to try on the three World Series rings. Look at all that bling!
If You’re Going to Be in Boston on June 8th
On June 8th two FenwaYoga classes will be taught by Mandy Ingber, a New York Times bestselling author and the creator of Yogalosophy and yoga instructor to Jennifer Aniston, Kate Beckinsale, Ricki Lake, Brooke Shields, and Helen Hunt.
The two morning classes will take place at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and are geared towards all levels of experience. Each participant must commit to raising a minimum of $250 for the foundation. There will be prizes awarded for the top three fundraisers.
If you’re interested in trying it out you can sign up at fenwayoga.com. Enter promo code REDSOXMOM (case sensitive) for $10 off the registration fee.
More Fabulous Red Sox Events!
Out of the Park: The Red Sox, in partnership with the Highland Street Foundation, plan to bring the Fenway experience to local parks around the city, transporting the sights, sounds and tastes of the big game to locals free of charge. The first Out of the Park event is next Sunday, May 25th at 1:40pm at Ramsay Park at Jim Rice Field in Roxbury. We would love to have you join in the fun!
So who’s up for some FenwaYoga on June 8th?
