I looked outside my window this morning and the magnolia tree is in full bloom. My son’s seasonal allergies are also in full bloom. We are usually armed and ready for seasonal allergies the first week of May-not the third week in March. The ticks and mosquitoes are also confused –bug bites and nightly tick checks are happening too early in the season.
The warm, sunny weather is a welcome change. Windows are open and people are out and about. The blogosphere has lots to offer this spring. Here are a few of the highlights from this week.
Spring into Spring
Every spring I start reorganizing and donating like a crazy person. The urge to spring clean can’t be contained. We can’t help ourselves—it’s innate. We rearrange furniture, sort through old clothing and organize our belongings. Does this happen to you (please say yes so I’ll feel normal)? Over at the J.R. Watkins Naturals Clear Conscience Blog I shared a few things you can do to kick off those sunny spring days that lie ahead.
Cell Phone Radiation
My kids grab my phone constantly. They usually aren’t calling anyone, but they are playing games and, in my humble opinion, holding the phone a little too close to their little bodies. A recent study found that a child’s growing body can absorb up to 10 times the radiation an adult’s body absorbs. That’s frightening. This article suggests a few ways to avoid wireless radiation.
Do you try to limit your exposure and your children’s exposure to radiation?

Eco-fashion Friday
Agree or disagree: the vintage “Superman” cuff is SO eco cool.
Have a groovy green weekend! Are you starting your garden?
